ウィリアム皇太子夫妻は4月23日、「6歳の誕生日おめでとう！」というメッセージとともに、第3子ルイ王子の写真をSNSで公開した。

ウィリアム皇太子夫妻は、例年特別な日の写真を公開しているが、今回の写真は王室にとって特に辛い時期に撮影された。
公の場から長い間遠ざかっていたキャサリン妃は3月、がんの診断を受けたことを公表。その前には、イギリスの母の日に合わせて公開されたポートレートが加工されていたことが発覚し、キャサリン妃は謝罪した。
